and San Francisco Dental Society

CHICAGO, Feb. 13, 2019 — To create a more impactful dental meeting for attendees, guests and exhibitors, the American Dental Association (ADA) and FDI World Dental Federation (FDI) have joined together to host the ADA FDI World Dental Congress in San Francisco September 4-8, 2019. The meeting will be held with support from the California Dental Association (CDA) and San Francisco Dental Society (SFDS).

“The ADA FDI World Dental Congress 2019 is an exciting opportunity for attendees to interact with colleagues from around the world,” said Jeffrey M. Cole, D.D.S., president of the ADA. “I’m looking forward to showcasing America’s Dental Meeting to an international audience and working with FDI to help shape the future of dentistry on a global scale.”

There will be much to celebrate at the meeting, including the 160th anniversary of the ADA, the 150th anniversary of the San Francisco Dental Society and the culmination of a successful presidential term for FDI President Kathryn A. Kell, D.D.S.

“We are excited to team up with the ADA to produce an engaging scientific program, while hosting what should be one of the largest exhibitions ever seen at FDI’s World Dental Congress,” Dr. Kell said. “Attendees and exhibitors from across the globe will have the opportunity to meet on the exhibit floor and in networking events, fostering new opportunities to learn from colleagues.”

Basic registration for the ADA FDI World Dental Congress is free for ADA members and all North American attendees. Additional efforts are planned to enhance the attendee experience, including simple, a la carte pricing for CE and events, digital ticketing and the availability of an optional VIP upgrade.

CDA President R. Del Brunner, D.D.S., said the organization is proud to host the meeting in California. “California is known for innovation and with so many forward-looking and exciting continuing education opportunities at the ADA FDI World Dental Congress, San Francisco is a fitting host for this meeting,” Dr. Brunner said.

Registration is available at ADA.org/meeting. CE courses and event tickets are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so attendees are encouraged to register early.
